CathyCathy Julia Phil and Andrea

Andrea Simpson originating from Australia and married to Phil,had been working with young people in a variety of settings for over 8 years. These include sessional and drop-in work in Bradford schools, helping to set up the youth project at St Michael’s in Cherry Burton, and detached youth work at Bishop Burton College.

Currently Andrea works 2.5 days in Cottingham High School – mainly providing one on one pastoral support. Andrea also works 1 day in Longcroft – helping to run the ‘Emerge’ group and providing small group pastoral support.

Phil Simpson is a qualified youth worker who has been working with Further Education students at Bishop Burton College, while also being a youth worker for St Michael’s, Cherry Burton.

Phil can be found in Beverley Grammar School running the ‘Emerge’ club, helping in RE lessons, and providing pastoral support. Phil also works in East Riding college (Beverley and Bridlington) providing input to their faith based program.

Julia Waters qualified as a teacher in 1992 and has taught RE at Secondary level. She has also done voluntary and paid work with Hull and East Riding churches serving the Socially Excluded, Families, Early Years, Children, Youth and Schools. In addition to her day working for BSCT - she helps runs a computing business with her husband designing and supporting Web Sites for Primary schools.

Julia covering Cathy’s maternity leave can be found in Beverley High School on Tuesdays running the ‘Emerge’ club and providing pastoral support in small groups.

Cathy Beynon has worked on the Longhill Estate in Hull for seven years, as well as in schools and clubs in Beverley. As part of her work in Hull, Cathy supported Christian lunchtime clubs, fun days and RE lessons.

Cathy is currently on maternity leave but was working in Beverley High School. Cathy has a vision for work in primary schools and has obtained funding to develop a project to establish lunchtime clubs in local schools. Helping with clubs at Minster CE and St Nicholas Primary Schools.

Jill Dolman is qualified as a nurse and a counsellor, and is an experienced play group leader.  Appointed to work with Cathy developing primary school clubs, Jill has been producing resources, helping with existing clubs, training volunteers and preparing for the new clubs. In addition to working for BSCT, Jill runs a playgroup at Kings Church.

Jill Dolman can be found running ‘JAM’ club (Jesus And Me) at St Nicholas primary and LIFE club at Minster primary.
